My name is Winnie L.B. Toh. I am an author turned harpist who fell in love with the harp from the moment I discovered it in August 2018. What started as a distant dream has flourished into a vibrant reality. This journey began when I decided to pursue my passion for the harp, gradually shifting my focus from my primary career to fully embrace this exquisite instrument.
Performance Level and Experience
Semi-professional, with a warm and decent vocal tone
In addition to the harp, I started vocal training about three years ago. As a female harpist in Penang, my humble angelic voice combined with the harp has proven to be a harmonious blend, enriching my gigs and performances.
I have achieved ABRSM Grade 5 Pedal Harp with Distinction and am currently preparing for the Grade 8 exam at my own pace. I have experience playing in various events including outdoor and indoor venues, orchestra, and competitions, and am skilled in time management and transporting the harp. Over the years, I have amassed a collection of harps and had the privilege of learning from every harp instructor in Penang. My pursuit of mastery has also taken me around the world, where I have studied with various international harpists.

Background Track: Some performances are accompanied by a backing track for a fuller sound.
Performance Duration: Typically 45 minutes of enchanting music to elevate any event.

As harpists often work solo to be the main musician, if you have an extra budget, you might consider adding on musicians. The harp works beautifully with the cello, violin, glockenspiel, piano, etc. We have connections for these musicians, though the cost is separate.
